Can I get distance from current location to a particular point without actually accessing the current location

I'm aware of google's distance matrix api where you can add origin and destination to find distance between 2 locations. But is there any service available, where I dont have to track user's current location and the service could just provide distance or time estimation and still maintaining users privacy by not exposing his/her current location.
